Folkrace & Multiplayer in Teardown DLC

Tuxedo Labs announced exciting updates for their hit sandbox game Teardown, including a multiplayer mode and the new Folkrace DLC. This expansion enriches single-player gameplay with fresh tracks, vehicle options, and competitive racing events where players can earn rewards and upgrade their rides.

The multiplayer functionality will initially launch on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players to preview and test the feature. The developers actively seek community feedback, particularly from modders, as forthcoming API adjustments will enable multiplayer compatibility for custom content.

Multiplayer support has been both a developer priority and a top community request since the game's inception. This update fulfills that long-standing promise to fans.

During the testing phase, players can access multiplayer through Steam's Experimental option while modders receive tools to update their creations for shared gameplay. After thorough evaluation, multiplayer will graduate from experimental status to a permanent game feature.

The studio also teased two additional major DLCs currently in development, with more information scheduled for release throughout 2025.
