Tears Trigger Galaxy-Inspired Clip
A recent online video cleverly transforms The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom into a Super Mario Galaxy experience. Released in May 2023, Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to 2017's Breath of the Wild, is the latest installment in Nintendo's acclaimed Zelda series. Often compared to other Nintendo hits like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and Super Mario titles, this fan-made video highlights unexpected similarities.
Reddit user Ultrababouin's "Super Zelda Galaxy" video ingeniously incorporates elements from the beloved 2007 Wii game, Super Mario Galaxy. The edit recreates iconic scenes, including the opening sequence, sparking nostalgia among viewers. This impressive work took nearly a month to complete and was submitted to the Hyrule Engineering subreddit's June design contest.
Ultrababouin is a seasoned builder within the Hyrule Engineering community, previously creating a Tears of the Kingdom version of the Master Cycle Zero (from Breath of the Wild) and earning "Engineer of the Month" honors. The video showcases the game's robust build system, allowing players to construct vehicles and machines, echoing creations like the aircraft carrier with a functional bomber built by another community member, ryt1314059.
The upcoming Legend of Zelda title, Echoes of Wisdom, scheduled for September 26th, marks a departure from tradition. Instead of Link, the series' iconic hero, this installment will feature Princess Zelda as the protagonist.
