Transformers: Reactivate Gameplay Footage Leaks After Game’s Cancellation

by Sarah Feb 13,2025

Leaked gameplay footage of the canceled Transformers: Reactivate has re-emerged online. Announced in 2022 by Splash Damage and Hasbro, the co-op game was to feature Generation 1 Autobots and Decepticons uniting against an alien threat. Development was largely unseen until cancellation, leaving fans disappointed.

Recently surfaced footage, from a 2020 build, showcases Bumblebee navigating a destroyed city, seamlessly transforming between robot and vehicle modes while engaging an alien force known as "the Legion." The gameplay bears resemblance to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Despite some unfinished textures, the footage demonstrates a polished aesthetic, including environmental destruction. A silent cutscene depicts Bumblebee emerging from a portal in a ravaged New York City, communicating with an ally named Devin.

Numerous other leaks, dating back to 2020, further illustrate the game's development. While Transformers: Reactivate will never be released, the leaked footage offers a glimpse into its potential.
