Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show AdaptationUbisoft has officially confirmed to Game File the cancellation of its live-action "Driver" series. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project was part of Ubisoft's broader initiative to expand its game franchises into other media. As stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik, the goal was "to bring our games to life in new and exciting ways and create content set in the world, culture, and community of gaming."

The partnership with Binge ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary, in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed to Game File: "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."

However, Ubisoft emphasizes its continued commitment to the "Driver" franchise. They have stated that they are "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise" and look forward to future announcements. Specific details about these new projects remain undisclosed, but fans are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates.
