According to the insider known as fraxiswinning, Ubisoft is set to unveil Rainbow Six Siege 2 at the Six Invitational 2025, scheduled to take place at MGM Music Hall from February 14–16. The project, codenamed Siege X, is reportedly running on an updated engine that promises enhanced graphics with revamped textures and models. Fans of the original game should note that Ubisoft may not bring back the old temporary events, instead focusing on introducing fresh events to keep the gameplay exciting. If these leaks hold true, players can anticipate the release of Rainbow Six Siege 2 during the second season of the tenth year of support, around mid-2025.

It's worth recalling that Alexander Karpazis, the creative director of Rainbow Six Siege, previously stated that a full-fledged sequel was unnecessary, as the current version of the game was still evolving. However, if fraxiswinning's information proves accurate, it appears Ubisoft may have reconsidered their stance on a sequel.
