Unlock Shroodle in Pokémon GO: Discover Capture Strategies

Trainers, get ready! Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over event brings a new addition to the Pokédex: Shroodle! This Poison-type Mouse Pokémon, originally from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, arrives on January 15, 2025. However, catching this newcomer isn't as simple as a wild encounter.

Shroodle's Pokémon GO Debut:

Shroodle's debut coincides with the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, starting January 15, 2025. While its availability extends beyond the event, it won't be a common wild spawn.

Shiny Shroodle?

Unfortunately, a Shiny Shroodle isn't available at launch. Expect its shimmering variant to appear in a future event, possibly a Poison-type or Team GO Rocket focused one.

How to Catch Shroodle:

Shroodle is exclusively obtained by hatching 12KM Eggs. These eggs have a chance of containing Shroodle starting at 12 AM local time on January 15th. While more frequent during the Fashion Week event, they'll remain in the 12KM egg pool afterward.

Securing 12KM Eggs:

To acquire 12KM Eggs, defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Fashion Week event provides an excellent opportunity to stock up, as Rocket Radars will be more readily available. Remember, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts at any time to encounter these Leaders.

Evolving to Grafaiai:

Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuts on January 15th. Unlike Shroodle, it's not found in the wild or hatched from eggs. Evolution is the only method, requiring 50 Shroodle Candy. Walk with your Shroodle as a buddy to quickly gather the necessary Candy.
