New Pokémon Sleep Companions: Sneasel and Weavile!

Pokémon Sleep players have a treat! As of December 3rd, Sneasel and Weavile are now available to befriend. This guide explains how.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

Given their Ice/Dark typing in the main series, you might expect to find them in a snowy location. In Pokémon Sleep, however, Sneasel and Weavile appear as Dark-type Pokémon on two islands:

• Snowdrop Tundra: Their primary habitat, reflecting their icy nature.
• Greengrass Isle: Surprisingly, they also appear on this starter island, making them accessible to all players regardless of game progress.

Use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch islands if needed.

Sleep Types

Both Sneasel and Weavile possess the Dozing sleep type. Increasing your chances of encountering them requires having a Dozing sleep type for the night.

Sneasel is easier to find during Sleep Research. Evolving it into Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.

Are They Good in Pokémon Sleep?

Sneasel's value lies primarily in its berry gathering capabilities. As a Dark-type, it collects Wiki Berries, making it a valuable asset for Snowdrop Tundra. It also provides an "Extra Tasty" boost to dishes. Its ingredient requirements include highly sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a worthwhile addition to your team.
