Although slightly later than the previously planned release in the first half of the year, this latest timeline confirms that the game is complete.

“The current state of the game is that it’s finished,” stated Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann. “Our focus now is on refining details, fixing bugs, ensuring stability, and optimizing performance to provide the best possible experience upon launch.”

While today’s announcement brings disappointment for fans who have waited patiently through numerous delays, the accompanying video offers some encouraging news. The Chinese Room confirmed additional content, enhanced narrative depth, and improved character development since their last major update. Moreover, players can anticipate a more significant role for Fabien in the storyline. The long history of setbacks for this narrative-driven vampire game is well-known. First teased in 2019 by developer Hardsuit Labs with an initial target of Q1 2020, the project underwent multiple delays, including pushes to late 2020, 2021, and eventually 2024 under The Chinese Room. Despite challenges, including layoffs and a change in developers, the team remains optimistic about delivering a polished final product.
