Old School RuneScape has released the conclusion to the Varlamore storyline today: Varlamore: The Final Dawn. This climactic chapter brings the long-running narrative to a close, challenging players to confront the Doom of Mokhaiotl and unearth unsettling secrets.

Intense enemies and deeper challenges await

The Final Dawn is a Master-level quest that completes the Varlamore trilogy. To begin, you must have finished The Heart of Darkness and Perilous Moons, and possess level 66 Thieving, 52 Fletching, and 52 Runecraft. A Combat Level of 85 is also highly recommended.

The quest is set in Varlamore, where you ally with the Queen to save Itzla. Your mission is to defeat the Doom of Mokhaiotl, a creature the Old Ones call Osto-Ayak. This leads you into the Ruins of Mokhaiotl, a demanding PvM encounter with no safe spots or respawns.

Breaking from traditional boss fights, this is Old School RuneScape's first Delve boss. It's a solo, enrage-style endgame challenge that becomes progressively harder. Each successful phase drives the Doom deeper into its lair, increasing the stakes.

Every level is all-or-nothing. If you fall in battle, you forfeit all collected rewards. Exiting the encounter resets your progress to the first floor. The initial stages resemble the Corrupted Gauntlet in difficulty, while later ones require skill on par with the Infernal Cape.

Explore new regions across Varlamore with this expansion

The Auburnal Valley presents an autumnal landscape where you can hone your Fletching ability. For a greater test, the harsh Custodia Pass features a Slayer dungeon bordering the Kebos Lowlands. Venture into the tropical Tlati Rainforest, homeland of the Talkasti people, to face the Gemstone Crab, a fresh PvM boss.

Download the game via the Google Play Store and experience the finale of the Varlamore epic. Also, don't miss our upcoming coverage on Guardian Tales, which is marking its 5th anniversary with 150 free summons and special events!
