Gaijin Entertainment has exciting news: War Thunder's Firebirds update, arriving in early November, is packed with new aircraft and features. This update introduces some heavy hitters in military aviation.

New Aircraft in War Thunder

The update includes iconic aircraft like the American F-117 stealth attack aircraft, Russia's Su-34 fighter-bomber, and the F-15E Strike Eagle, along with new ground vehicles and warships such as the British FV107 Scimitar light tank and the French battleship Dunkerque.

Let's examine some key additions: The F-117A Nighthawk is War Thunder's first stealth aircraft. Its unique design, incorporating hard edges, radar-absorbing materials, and ferromagnetic paint, allows it to evade radar and infrared detection. Its engines are also cleverly shielded. Its real-world performance during Operation Desert Storm, completing over 1,200 combat sorties without a single loss, speaks volumes.

The F-15E Strike Eagle focuses on sheer power. An upgraded F-15, it boasts a 50% larger payload than its predecessor and features ground target detection radar. Its arsenal includes AGM-65 Maverick missiles, laser-guided bombs, JDAM navigation-guided bombs, and even the GBU-39 satellite-guided bombs (20 at a time!). Its status as a U.S. Air Force main strike aircraft is well-deserved.

More Than Just Aircraft

Beyond the new aircraft, the Firebirds update brings ground and naval reinforcements, including the agile British FV107 Scimitar and the French Dunkerque battleship.

The new Aces High season is also underway, offering unique vehicles, trophies, and rewards for completing the season and Battle Pass. These include aircraft like the Bf 109 G-14, F2G-1, and La-11, formidable platoons such as the T54E2 and G6, and ships like the HMS Orion and USS Billfish.
