Stellar Blade's Festive Holiday Update: A Cozy Christmas in Xion

Stellar Blade is decking the halls (and Xion) for the holidays with a festive update launching December 17th. This update introduces new holiday-themed outfits, decorations, a mini-game, and a toggle for seasonal content.

New Holiday Attire and Decorations:

Eve, Adam, and the Drone get festive makeovers! Expect vibrant colors and holiday-themed accessories. The new outfits include:

• Santa Dress (Eve)
• Rudolph Pack (Drone)
• I’m No Santa (Adam)

Eve's holiday look can be further customized with a Santa Girl hairstyle and accessories like Snow Crystal Glasses, Wreath Earrings, and Sleigh Ear Cuffs.

Xion itself receives a holiday makeover, transforming into a cozy winter wonderland with festive decorations adorning The Last Gulp and Eve's camp. New seasonal background music ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away") adds to the festive atmosphere.

A New Mini-Game:

A new mini-game is introduced, though details on gameplay and rewards remain scarce. It appears to involve targeting a holiday-themed drone.

Control Your Festive Fun:

The update includes a new option in the Gameplay settings to manage seasonal content, including the Nier:Automata DLC. Choose from:

• Auto: Automatically enables or disables seasonal content based on the current season.
• Disable: Deactivates all seasonal content.
• Enable: Activates all seasonal content.

Note that changing this setting requires a game restart from the most recent save.

Mixed Reception:

While the update has been largely well-received, with many players embracing the "Christmas Eve" moniker for the protagonist, some concerns have been raised. Some players question the frequency of event updates for a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content is another point of contention.
