The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025, introducing fresh endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces new story quests setting the stage for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, but its availability is delayed.

Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may not recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this storyline and a fitting farewell to a crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the Lingering Shadows campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaign isn't required. For optimal understanding, complete prior story content to avoid spoilers and gain context. The Lingering Shadows campaign comprises:

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. Her quest, while not part of the main campaign, offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.

How to Initiate the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, a three-week delay was implemented for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction is lifted. However, completing both The War Within leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions) is necessary.

To verify completion, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). Khadgar's presence indicates eligibility for his quest (on or after January 7th). His absence signifies unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list follows:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
