The Last Knight Side Quest Walkthrough: A Honkai: Star Rail Guide

The Last Knight is a side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region, offering a charming diversion from the main storyline and rewarding players with valuable resources. While less grand than major quests, it provides a glimpse into life beyond Ragunna City. This guide offers a concise walkthrough.

Starting the Quest

To begin, complete Chapter 2 of the main story, including the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. It's highly recommended to finish Chapter 2, Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then. Once completed, locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries

This stage involves a performance honoring a legendary knight. You must defeat the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. The Mad Knight isn't particularly challenging; use your strongest attacks.

Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, travel to the tallest tower and then fly to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He'll be unconscious near a large purple flower. Touching the flower transports you to an area with chests. The first three are genuine; in the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is real. Open it for Astrites and other rewards, but be prepared to fight the mimic chests that attack afterward.

The Knight's Trail and the Strange Scent

Next, visit two locations associated with the Mad Knight legend, following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby mentions a strange smell. Follow the marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. A Questless Knight Echo is highly recommended for this fight, allowing you to parry and stun the Chop Chop. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the "knight" legend was a fabrication.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a plaza. He's confronted by knights. His response to their mockery concludes the quest, earning you Union XP, Astrites, and other resources. The Last Knight will be marked as complete.
