WWE 2K25 Unveiled in Exclusive Xbox Preview

WWE 2K25: First Glimpses and Roster Speculation

Xbox recently unveiled screenshots of the upcoming WWE 2K25, sparking excitement and speculation among wrestling game enthusiasts. Following the March 2024 release of WWE 2K24, many anticipate a similar launch window for its successor in 2025. While official details remain scarce, the buzz around potential roster additions and the cover athlete is already building.

The cover star remains a mystery, though a Steam page leak has fueled speculation. Past WWE 2K games have featured iconic wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, as well as current stars such as Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair. However, only information released via Xbox's official Twitter account is currently confirmed.

Xbox's tweet, celebrating WWE RAW's Netflix debut, showcased screenshots featuring updated models and attire for Liv Morgan, Cody Rhodes, Damien Priest, and CM Punk. The post fueled discussions about potential Xbox Game Pass inclusion and highlighted improvements in character likeness, particularly for Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan.

Confirmed Playable Characters:

  • CM Punk
  • Damien Priest
  • Liv Morgan
  • Cody Rhodes

While these four wrestlers are confirmed, the full WWE 2K25 roster remains undisclosed. The recent changes within WWE, including both departures and new signings, have fans eagerly anticipating the inclusion of their favorites. Many are hoping to see the Bloodline members Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, and the newly revamped Wyatt Six, in the game.

Although the initial announcement came from Xbox, WWE 2K25 is expected to launch on PlayStation and PC platforms as well. Whether it will be a current-gen exclusive is yet to be determined. A link shared by the WWE Games Twitter account directs to a wishlist page featuring Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam logos, promising further details on January 28, 2025.
