Squares: The Daily Word Strand Puzzle Challenge!

Squares is a daily word puzzle game where you connect letters on a grid to create words and score points. The goal is to find all the words and maximize your score.

How to Play:

Connect letters in any direction (up, down, left, right, or diagonally) to form words. Words must be at least four letters long, and each tile can only be used once per word. Hyphenated words, proper nouns, vulgar language, and uncommon terms are excluded.

Scoring & Bonus Words:

• Points: Earn one point for each letter in a word (a five-letter word earns five points).
• Bonus Words: These are less common words (obscure, archaic, or slang). They don't earn points but appear on a separate bonus list. You can hunt for them even after finding all the main words.
• Word of the Day: Each puzzle includes a special, often longer bonus word. Finding it rewards you with two extra hints!

Game Features:

• Daily Puzzle: A new Squares puzzle is available daily at midnight.
• Grid Rotation: Rotate the grid left or right to change your perspective and potentially uncover hidden words.
• Hints: Receive 3-5 hints (lightbulb icon) revealing the first letter and search direction of a random word. Hint availability depends on puzzle difficulty. Sharing the game link with friends earns you an extra hint!
• Letter Usage Indicator: After finding 40% of the words, a numerical hint appears on each letter, indicating how many words start with that letter. An orange letter is no longer used in the main words but might be in bonus words.
