Palworld Mobile Version Is In The Works By The Makers Of PUBG

Krafton and Pocket Pair are joining forces to bring a mobile version of the popular monster-catching game, Palworld, to mobile devices. Krafton, known for PUBG, will leverage its expertise to adapt the core gameplay for a mobile audience through its subsidiary, PUBG Studios. This collaboration signifies a significant expansion of the Palworld intellectual property.

However, many details remain undisclosed. Palworld's initial release on Xbox and Steam earlier this year was a success, followed by a recent PlayStation 5 launch (excluding Japan). This exclusion may be linked to an ongoing legal dispute with Nintendo alleging patent infringement concerning the mechanics of capturing creatures – a similarity some have noted between Palworld and Pokémon, leading to the game's nickname, "Pokémon with guns." Pocket Pair, Palworld's developer, denies knowledge of any specific patent infringement.

Krafton's involvement is strategic, given Pocket Pair's focus on the existing game's development. While the partnership is promising, the mobile project is likely in its early stages. Further details regarding the mobile version's features and whether it will be a direct port or a modified adaptation are eagerly anticipated. In the meantime, players can explore the official Steam page for information on the existing game's gameplay and features.
