Defeating it is key to progressing your journey to Azuz City. Once defeated (even once), its entry will be added to your Large Monster Field Guide. You can revisit this battle as often as you like, either by encountering it naturally in the Oilwell Basin or through the optional "Oilwell Basin Blast" quest.
