Infested missions are challenging but rewarding 7 Days To Die quests offering substantial XP, loot, and rare items. They unlock after completing 10 Tier 1 missions, requiring access to Tier 2 missions. Difficulty scales with mission tier and biome; Wasteland missions are tougher than forest ones. The objective remains consistent: eliminate all enemies within a designated area.


Starting an Infested Clear Mission

Initiate missions by visiting one of the five traders (Rekt, Jen, Bob, Hugh, or Joe). Mission location and tier significantly impact difficulty. Higher tiers present tougher enemies, with Tier 6 being the most challenging.


Completing an Infested Clear Mission

Upon reaching the Point of Interest (POI), activate the mission marker. Leaving the area or dying results in mission failure. The game often guides players through a predetermined path, often marked by lighting. Avoid this path to circumvent traps.

Carry building blocks to escape traps or create alternative routes. Zombies are indicated by red dots on the screen; size correlates to proximity. Prioritize headshots. Be aware of special zombie types:

Infested Clear Mission Rewards

Rewards are random but influenced by game stage, loot stage (boosted by skills like Lucky Looter and mods like Treasure Hunter), mission tier, and perk choices. The "A Daring Adventurer" perk is highly recommended; at rank 4, it allows selecting two rewards instead of one. Selling unwanted loot provides additional XP.
