New Deadlock update: Calico nerfed, Sinclair reworked
Valve has rolled out another surprise update for Deadlock, this time focusing on a smaller set of changes affecting four heroes. Calico received a significant nerf, with her Return to Shadows ability substantially weakened. The cooldown increased by ten seconds, and 20% of its speed boost was shifted to Tier 2. Her Leaping Slash (Tier 2) also saw a damage reduction.
Sinclair received a visual overhaul with updated sounds and animations, and his Rabbit Hex ability has been transformed into an area-of-effect (AoE) attack. Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs in this update.
Several item adjustments were implemented as well. Ammo Scavenger now grants fewer stacks and eliminates the health bonus. Furthermore, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer offer bonuses to fire rate and weapon damage, respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first in February. Reflecting a shift in development strategy, Valve is now releasing updates on an as-needed basis, rather than adhering to a fixed schedule. This unannounced patch is a prime example of that new approach.
