Dragonkin: The Banished - Demo Released, Major Updates Planned

Eko Software and NACON have officially launched a playable demo and revealed a detailed roadmap for the early access release of their action-packed RPG, Dragonkin: The Banished. Available now through March 3, 2025, as part of Steam Next Fest, the demo gives players a hands-on look at the game’s immersive world, featuring the prologue and first chapter. Players can experience the narrative through three distinct heroes—the Knight, the Oracle, and the Barbarian—each offering unique combat styles and story perspectives.

The early access version includes key gameplay elements such as four Vermplings, cooperative companions that fight alongside the player, and the innovative Bloodline Grid—a customizable skill progression system that allows for deep character personalization. Additionally, players can tackle endgame hunting quests and begin upgrading the central hub city, laying the foundation for future development.

Looking ahead, the development team has outlined an ambitious update schedule. Spring updates will bring new abilities, enhanced endgame content, a new endgame activity, and expanded hub city features. Summer will introduce a new playable hero, additional skills, and more challenging endgame content. By autumn, the game will add full multiplayer support, along with continued refinements to the Bloodline Grid and hub city mechanics.

Set in a world tainted by ancient dragon blood, Dragonkin: The Banished follows a legendary warrior’s journey to eradicate monstrous creatures rising from beneath the earth and defeat the mighty Dragonlords behind the corruption. Progression is driven by character advancement, gear upgrades, and evolving Vermplings, all integrated into a dynamic combat and exploration loop.

Dragonkin: The Banished launches into Steam Early Access on March 6, 2025, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. [ttpp]
