Fortnite's Revamped Quest UI Faces Backlash

Epic Games' recent Fortnite update, while introducing new content and cosmetics, has sparked significant player discontent due to a controversial quest UI redesign. The update, released on January 14th, followed the conclusion of the Winterfest event and coincided with Chapter 6 Season 1's ongoing success. This season boasts a refreshed map, enhanced movement mechanics, and new game modes like Ballistic, Fortnite OG, and LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life.

However, the redesigned quest system has proven to be a point of contention. Quests are now organized into collapsible blocks and submenus, a departure from the previous list format. While some players appreciate the cleaner visual appearance, many find the new structure excessively convoluted and time-consuming, particularly during matches where quick access to quest information is crucial. The added layers of submenus force players to navigate deeper into the menu system, potentially leading to in-game disadvantages.
