Hearthstone Reveals StarCraft Mini-Set Details and Release Date

Hearthstone's largest-ever Mini-Set, Heroes of StarCraft, arrives January 21st, boasting 49 new cards. This expansion bridges the gap between Hearthstone and StarCraft, introducing class and multi-class cards themed around the iconic StarCraft factions: Zerg, Protoss, and Terran.

Initially teased during the November 13th, 2024 Warcraft Direct, the Mini-Set's details are now fully revealed. The 49 cards include three for each Hearthstone class, five faction-specific cards (including one Legendary) for each StarCraft race, and a single neutral Legendary card, Grunty. Card reveals will continue throughout the week leading up to the launch.

Key Features:

  • Faction-Specific Cards: Zerg cards (Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, Warlock) focus on swarming Zerglings and Hydralisk damage. Protoss cards (Druid, Mage, Priest, Rogue) emphasize mana manipulation and powerful late-game plays. Terran cards (Paladin, Shaman, Warrior) utilize the Starship mechanic from The Great Dark Beyond.
  • Pricing: A full Mini-Set costs $20 (or 2500 gold), a $5 premium over standard Mini-Sets. Individual faction packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg) are available for $10 (or 1200 gold). All-Golden versions are also available at a slightly increased price.
  • Release Date: January 21st, 2025.
  • Launch Events: Two streamed events, StarCast (January 23rd, 10 AM PST) and HearthCraft (January 24th, 9 AM PST), will feature prominent StarCraft and Hearthstone personalities. Viewers can earn free packs by watching on Twitch.

The Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set promises a significant expansion to Hearthstone's card pool and a thrilling crossover experience for fans of both franchises.
