"Schedule I Patch 5 Updates Game to Version 0.3.3f14, Content Update Coming This Weekend"

by Caleb May 13,2025

Following its overnight viral success on Steam, Schedule I continues to receive post-launch updates, with the latest being Patch 5, which elevates the drug dealer simulation game to version 0.3.3f14. This patch brings several crucial improvements, but the most exciting news for players is the upcoming first content update set to launch this weekend.

PlaySchedule I has skyrocketed to become the top-selling game on Steam, surpassing major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals. Its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube has attracted a massive player base. In the game, you start as a small-time dealer and work your way up to becoming a kingpin, managing the production and distribution of various drugs in the gritty city of Hyland Point. You can expand your empire by acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.

The game is developed and published by TVGS, the Australian indie developer known as Tyler, who described Schedule I's explosive launch as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." In a Reddit post, Tyler expressed his surprise at the game's reception, stating, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment, I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."

Patch 5 addresses numerous issues, including employee bugs, multiplayer bugs, and casino bugs. Tyler has also introduced several pathfinding validity checks to prevent crashes. Here are the detailed patch notes for Schedule I Update 5 version 0.3.3f14:

Tweaks/Improvements

  • Added an active display setting to choose which monitor the game displays on.
  • Botanists will now automatically move product from their supplies to drying racks.
  • Owned vehicles are now visible on the map app.
  • Implemented a few validity checks/failsafes for NPC pathfinding and warping. This should help prevent crashes on certain chipsets (thanks to Chi Chi on Discord for highlighting this issue).
  • Refactored employee item movement behavior to be more efficient.
  • Implemented NPC effects culling at a certain distance to improve performance.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed non-host clients sometimes unable to hit/stand in blackjack.
  • Fixed a quest UI bug that occasionally caused infinite loading screens in multiplayer.
  • Fixed clipboard selections not reassigning without first manually clearing the existing selection (employee beds, botanist supplies, etc).
  • Fixed the dealer sometimes revealing its hand prematurely to non-host players in blackjack.
  • Fixed the first-person jacket appearing janky.
  • Fixed the 'Master Chef' achievement being awarded prematurely.
  • Fixed some property null references that were causing multiplayer loading/desync issues.
  • The drying rack 'dry' button is now non-interactable if the input slot is reserved by an employee.
  • Fixed NPC 'stay in building' behavior sometimes causing errors for non-host players.
  • Fixed NPC voiceover emitters occasionally throwing a null reference.

Tyler also mentioned that sneak peeks of the first content update will be shared soon.
