A world consumed by darkness

In the wilds of Midgard, the dead walk in daylight. River water burns your throat, Valkyries no longer carry the slain to Valhalla, and a sinister presence lurks in the shadows of forest and gorge. The goddess Hel is the cause. She cursed these lands with black magic in just 15 days, and now seeks to enslave the kingdom of the living!

You are the immortal, valiant Jarl of the northern warriors, untouched by death. Healers and shamans cannot explain it. But with the path to Valhalla closed, only one choice remains: take up arms and send the dark creatures back to Helheim!

No Viking stands alone

Frostborn is a co-op survival game with MMORPG elements. Ally with other Vikings to forge a powerful base, challenge creatures lurking in shadows and godly shrines, and battle other players in raids and random encounters across diverse locations and dungeons.

Select from over a dozen RPG-style classes that fit your playstyle. Prefer heavy armor and direct combat? Choose Protector, Berserker, or Thrasher! Would you rather keep your distance and fire arrows from afar? Pathfinder, Sharpshooter, or Hunter await! Or do you favor striking from the shadows? Try a Bandit,

Trade with other players or ambush them in the wilds of Midgard. Forge alliances with another family for mutual protection, or betray their trust for resources. The old order is gone; these are now lawless lands where the strongest prevail.

Utilize a deep crafting system to create all you need to defeat the darkness born from Hel's black magic. From strong walls and hearty food to magic potions, deadly traps, powerful weapons, and legendary armor. If that’s not enough, build your own longship to raid distant kingdoms!

Construct your own city

Strong walls, spacious houses, and artisan workshops—these are just the foundation. Rebuild and upgrade to open your city's gates to visitors. But prepare for a long journey; a great city cannot be built in 15 days. Cooperate with other Vikings and your citizens to claim your place in a world ruled by dark magic.
