Annapurna Interactive's Mass Resignation: Impact on Upcoming Games

Annapurna Interactive recently experienced a significant staff exodus, raising concerns about the future of its projects. However, several high-profile titles appear unaffected.

Control 2 and Other Projects Remain on Track

Following the mass resignation, developers have taken to social media to confirm the continued development of several games. Bloomberg News reported initial uncertainty, but the situation is clarifying.

Remedy Entertainment, developer of Control 2, confirmed via its communications director, Thomas Puha, that their agreement with Annapurna Pictures (not Annapurna Interactive) remains in place and Control 2's development and launch are unaffected. This is because Remedy is self-publishing the game.

Davey Wreden (creator of The Stanley Parable) and Team Ivy Road both assured fans that Wanderstop development is progressing without interruption. Wreden even indicated an imminent release. Team Ivy Road acknowledged the unexpected disruption but confirmed continued work on the project.

Matt Newell's Lushfoil Photography Sim, nearing completion, also seems unaffected, although the team expressed appreciation for their collaboration with Annapurna Interactive.

Beethoven & Dinosaur, creators of The Artful Escape, similarly confirmed that their upcoming title, Mixtape, remains in development.
