With Concord's August 23rd launch fast approaching, Sony and Firewalk Studios have unveiled post-launch plans and gameplay strategies. This article details the upcoming content and offers tips for mastering Concord.

No Battle Pass Required

Launching on August 23rd for PS5 and PC, Concord eschews the traditional Battle Pass model. Firewalk Studios prioritizes a rewarding core experience, focusing on account and character progression for meaningful rewards. Gameplay, leveling, and job completion unlock substantial benefits.

Season 1: The Tempest (October 2024)

Concord's first season introduces a new Freegunner character, a fresh map, additional Freegunner Variants, and new cosmetic rewards. Weekly Cinematic Vignettes will enrich the Northstar crew's storyline.

In-Game Store

An in-game store, debuting in Season 1, will offer purely cosmetic items, ensuring no gameplay advantages. These items complement the extensive rewards earned through progression.

Season 2 and Beyond

Season 2 is scheduled for January 2025, signifying Firewalk's commitment to consistent seasonal updates throughout Concord's first year.

Gameplay Strategies: Mastering the Crew Builder

Concord's "Crew Builder" system is key to team composition. Each Custom Crew comprises five Freegunners, with up to three copies of any Variant allowed. This allows strategic team customization based on playstyle and match challenges. Combining Freegunners from diverse roles unlocks Crew Bonuses, enhancing mobility, weapon recoil, cooldown times, and more.

Unlike traditional Tank/Support roles, Concord's Freegunners prioritize high DPS and gunfight effectiveness. Six roles – Anchor, Breacher, Haunt, Ranger, Tactician, and Warden – define their impact, ranging from area control to flanking maneuvers.
