As inZOI's Early Access reveals more gameplay aspects, players recently uncovered troubling mechanics involving child NPCs. A March 28 Reddit post titled "Unintended Child Collisions in inZOI" showcased footage where vehicle impacts sent child characters ragdolling unrealistically before dying.

While developers hinted at various mortality systems during their showcase, they never specifically acknowledged child character interactions. Krafton representatives clarified to Eurogamer that this was an unintended oversight, stating: "These depictions violate our content standards and don't align with inZOI's vision. We've implemented stronger review protocols to prevent similar issues." This fix maintains the game's Teen ESRB rating by removing inappropriate content.

Despite earning "Very Positive" Steam reviews praising its visual quality, Director Hyungjun Kim acknowledges limitations of their realistic approach. He told PCGamesN: "Our hyper-detailed style occasionally conflicts with implementing humorous elements. While we admire The Sims 4's charm, maintaining visual consistency sometimes compromises lighthearted gameplay moments."

Kim emphasizes inZOI's strengths: "Our immersive visuals create unparalleled player engagement. Though we can't replicate The Sims' whimsy exactly, we're proud of the authentic world we've built." As development continues, the team seeks to establish inZOI's unique identity within the life simulation genre.

While surpassing The Sims 4 technically, inZOI's developers continue refining its gameplay identity. For expanded Early Access analysis, explore our detailed coverage below.
