Marvel Rivals Showcases Its Season 1 Darkhold Battle Pass
Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – A Deep Dive into the Darkhold Battle Pass
Get ready for the chilling debut of Marvel Rivals Season 1, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST! This season, Dracula takes center stage as the primary antagonist, leaving Doctor Doom momentarily in the shadows. The Fantastic Four lead the charge against Dracula's forces after he traps Doctor Strange.
The Darkhold battle pass is the centerpiece of Season 1, offering a wealth of exclusive cosmetic rewards for 990 Lattice (approximately $10). Completing the pass nets you 600 Lattice and 600 Units, usable for future cosmetics or battle passes. Ten stunning skins headline the rewards, alongside sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. Best of all, the pass doesn't expire, allowing you to complete it at your own pace.
A Sneak Peek at the Season 1 Skins:
The battle pass showcases a captivating array of skins, each infused with a dark and gothic aesthetic:
- King Magnus (Magneto): Inspired by his House of M appearance.
- Blood Edge Armor (Iron Man): A medieval-inspired armor set reminiscent of Dark Souls.
- Bounty Hunter (Rocket Raccoon): A Western-themed skin.
- Blue Tarantula (Peni Parker): A vibrant, contrasting blue and white costume.
- Savage Sub-Mariner (Namor): A green costume accented with gold.
- All-Butcher (Loki): A sinister dark green and black ensemble.
- Blood Moon Knight (Moon Knight): A black costume with striking white details.
- Blood Soul (Adam Warlock): Golden armor with a crimson cape.
- Emporium Matron (Scarlet Witch): A classic red dress with purple accents.
- Blood Berserker (Wolverine): A Van Helsing-inspired vampire hunter look.
New Maps and a Blood Moon:
The season's dark theme extends to the new maps, featuring a menacing blood moon hanging over New York City.
Missing the Fantastic Four?
While the battle pass delivers an impressive roster of skins, some players may be disappointed by the absence of skins for the debuting Fantastic Four. However, cosmetics for Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic will be available in the in-game shop.
The Future of Marvel Rivals:
With Season 1's extensive content, fans eagerly await what NetEase Games has in store for future seasons. The Darkhold battle pass promises a thrilling and visually stunning experience, setting a high bar for what's to come.
