"Squad Busters Hits 40M Installs, $24M Revenue in 30 Days"

by Hazel Apr 07,2025

Squad Busters, Supercell's latest MOBA RTS, has achieved over 40 million installs and generated $24 million in net revenue within its first thirty days. The game has been particularly popular in the United States, leading the charts, followed by Indonesia, Brazil, Turkey, and South Korea.

Despite these impressive figures, there are signs of concern for Supercell. Since its launch, spending has declined, and the $24 million in net revenue falls short of the $43 million that Brawl Stars earned in its first month back in 2018. Clash Royale, launched in 2016, amassed over $115 million in its initial thirty days. More worryingly, installs for Squad Busters have also decreased, starting at a peak of 30 million in the first week and dropping below five million by the end of the month.

ytIs there Supercell fatigue? The trend of diminishing returns is evident, even for a game like Squad Busters, which Supercell heavily promoted. For context, our sister site PocketGamer.biz notes that Honkai Star Rail earned $190 million in its first month, significantly outpacing Squad Busters.

While Squad Busters is undoubtedly a high-quality game, it closely aligns with Supercell's existing game portfolio. This similarity raises questions about potential Supercell fatigue among mobile gamers. Only time will tell how Squad Busters continues to perform.
