*WWE 2K25* promises to be one of the most expansive and feature-rich entries in the franchise yet, offering a deep and diverse selection of match types that cater to both longtime wrestling fans and newcomers alike. From classic showdowns to brand-new innovations introduced in 2024, this year’s game brings an unprecedented level of variety to the ring.

Every New Match Type in WWE 2K25

Nia Jax and Randy Orton face off on Monday Night Raw in an Intergender Match in WWE 2K25

Bloodline Rules:

With Roman Reigns gracing the cover of *WWE 2K25* and the Bloodline playing a central role in the Dynasty mode, it's no surprise that the Bloodline Rules match makes its in-game debut. This is essentially an "anything goes" contest with no disqualifications or count-outs. Victory can only be achieved via pinfall or submission. Inspired by real-life WWE events, these matches often feature dramatic interference from other superstars, use of weapons, and even incapacitated referees for maximum chaos.

Intergender Matches:

Long requested by fans, intergender matches are finally here. These allow male and female WWE superstars to compete directly against each other, opening up new storytelling and gameplay possibilities within *WWE 2K25*’s universe.

Underground Matches:

Designed to blend professional wrestling with combat sports like MMA, Underground Matches remove the traditional ropes from the ring. Additional superstars stand around the ring to ensure the action stays inside. Originally introduced on Raw, these matches have found a permanent home in NXT and now in *WWE 2K25*.
