by Ryan Apr 24,2025

This week, the developers of InZOI are taking a well-deserved break to celebrate the New Year, enjoying a three-day holiday in South Korea. Before their holiday, project lead Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim took the opportunity to share exciting updates on the features that fans have been eagerly requesting for the game. These insights not only address what will be implemented but also to what extent, showcasing the team's commitment to enhancing the gaming experience based on community feedback.

In InZOI, players will have the innovative ability to use real facial capture technology to create templates for crafting their zois. This feature, already highlighted in summer announcements for its convenience, is set to become even more user-friendly, as Kjun emphasized the team's goal to further simplify the zoi creation process. Additionally, the game will introduce the joy of pet ownership, although players will need to wait until after the early access phase to bring their furry friends into the game world. Kjun, a self-professed animal lover, understands the anticipation this feature brings.

The urban landscape of InZOI will feature tall buildings, with a maximum of 30 floors. While the game engine supports higher constructions, this cap is a strategic decision to ensure optimal performance and a smooth gaming experience. Players can also look forward to dynamic environments with gas stations and engaging combat scenarios. Kjun acknowledged that the initial slap mechanic felt too simplistic, and in response to community feedback, the game will now include more immersive full-fledged fights, complete with clear outcomes and consequences.

Recognizing that InZOI may attract many newcomers to the genre, the developers have thoughtfully included a comprehensive tutorial to guide players through the game's mechanics and features. This attention to detail and consideration for the player base is commendable.

Krafton remains on track to release InZOI in early access at the end of March, with no further delays currently anticipated. This update from Kjun not only sets the stage for an exciting launch but also demonstrates the team's dedication to meeting player expectations and enhancing the overall gaming experience.
