Josef Fares Unveils Split Fiction Insights in Interview
Josef Fares, the creative mind behind Hazelight Studios, recently provided an in-depth look at their upcoming game, Split Fiction, during an interview with MinnMax. Fares reiterated Hazelight's steadfast commitment to steering clear of live-service models and microtransactions, emphasizing their dedication to delivering exceptional gaming experiences without additional costs to players.
"We're not going public. No microtransactions. We focus solely on delivering great gaming experiences."
Fares revealed that Split Fiction will offer a core narrative experience lasting approximately 12-14 hours, a duration comparable to their previous hit, It Takes Two. For those looking to dive deeper, the inclusion of optional missions and additional content can extend the gameplay to around 16-17 hours.
While Hazelight is renowned for its cooperative gameplay, Fares hinted at the potential for future single-player projects. He also disclosed that the budget for Split Fiction is double that of It Takes Two, yet the studio remains firm on not releasing any post-launch DLC. This ensures that all features are available to players right from the game's launch on March 6th, which will be available globally on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
With these insights, fans of Hazelight Studios can look forward to another immersive and complete gaming experience with Split Fiction.
