The Tarot Cards are among the riskiest Cursed Possessions in Phasmophobia, but they also offer some of the most powerful benefits—if you're lucky.

When you discover the Tarot Cards during your investigation, it's wise to use them in a safe location, such as near a hiding spot or the entrance. This precaution allows for a quick escape if you draw an unfavorable card like Death.

Each card holds a unique ability that activates immediately upon drawing. However, there's always a chance you'll draw The Fool (similar to a Joker), resulting in no effect. You can draw up to ten cards, and doing so won't affect your sanity. You can also draw duplicates, each with the same effect.

Ten different cards can appear in the deck:

The TowerDoubles ghost activity for 20 seconds20%
The Wheel of FortuneGains 25% sanity (green flame); loses 25% sanity (red flame)20%

What are Cursed Objects (Possessions) in Phasmophobia?

Cursed Possessions (often called "Cursed Objects") are unique items that randomly appear on any contract map (depending on difficulty or Challenge Mode).

Unlike standard equipment, which helps locate and identify the ghost with minimal risk, Cursed Objects offer gameplay shortcuts to manipulate the ghost, but at a significantly higher risk to your character.

The risk associated with each Cursed Object varies, leaving the decision of whether or not to use them up to you and your team. There's no penalty for not using them, nor is there a bonus for using them.

Only one Cursed Possession spawns per contract (unless changed in Custom settings), and each type always appears in the same location. For example, the Voodoo Doll always spawns in the Garage at 6 Tanglewood Drive.

Seven Cursed Objects exist in the game: Haunted Mirror, Voodoo Doll, Music Box, Tarot Cards, Ouija Board, Monkey Paw, and Summoning Circle.

This concludes our guide on using Tarot Cards in Phasmophobia. Be sure to check The Escapist for the latest guides and news, including all achievements and trophies and how to unlock them.
