Battlefield 6 Conquest Tweaks Aim to Accelerate Match Pace

by Connor Dec 17,2025

The development team behind Battlefield 6 at EA and Battlefield Studios is reducing the ticket counts for its flagship Conquest multiplayer mode. However, the player community remains skeptical that these adjustments will successfully improve the overall pacing of matches.

Details of the revised Conquest match structure were shared in an official announcement via the Battlefield Comms account on X/Twitter. The post outlines universal adjustments being applied to every Conquest map in Battlefield 6, with the developers stating the goal is to have matches "conclude at a more natural and satisfying pace."

To implement this change, the studio has lowered the standard 1000-ticket requirement, assigning a unique ticket goal for each specific map. These new targets now range from 900 tickets on maps like Siege of Cairo and Empire State, down to 700 tickets on Mirak Valley and Operation Firestorm. A complete list of the changes is provided below.

Updated Conquest Ticket Goals for Battlefield 6

Siege of Cairo: from 1000 to 900
Empire State: from 1000 to 900
Iberian Offensive: from 1000 to 900
Liberation Peak: from 1000 to 800
Manhattan Bridge: from 1000 to 800
Operation Firestorm: from 1000 to 700
New Sobek City: from 1000 to 900
Mirak Valley: from 1000 to 700

"Previously, a significant number of rounds were hitting the maximum time limit before one team exhausted their tickets," the development post explains. "We will continue to monitor player feedback and match data closely to ensure the flow of each game feels appropriate."

While the studio aims to foster a more natural rhythm for matches, many players doubt that lowering ticket requirements addresses the core issue. In fact, a vocal portion of the community expresses enjoyment for the full 1000-ticket battles and the tense, last-minute comeback potential they allow. For these players, the primary obstacle to match pacing isn't the high ticket count leading to timeouts—it's the existence of the time limit itself.

"A simpler solution would be to just remove the time limits entirely," content creator @MoiDawg responded. "Thrilling, close games are amazing, and this artificial timer ruins potential comebacks. Let us play true Conquest. I don't join a Conquest match expecting it to be over in 20 minutes. This is a significant misstep."

Other Battlefield 6 fans echo this sentiment, with numerous replies to the announcement suggesting the timer should be extended or eliminated. Some express surprise that any change was made, noting they have never seen a match reach the time limit even after many hours of playing Conquest. While some players report experiencing timed-out matches, even they believe that a slightly longer timer would be a more effective solution.

"Couldn't you just add 10 minutes to the timer?" one Reddit user proposes.

"Heaven forbid a Conquest match lasts longer than 15 minutes," another reply on X adds sarcastically.

In a related update, BF Studios mentioned in a separate tweet that the Out of Bounds timer for vehicles on the Manhattan Bridge map in both Conquest and Escalation modes has been increased from five seconds to ten seconds.
